Dr. Jose Ricardo Lievano was born in Colombia - South America. He has over 4 years of experience as consultant ophthalmologist surgeon in foreign country, ability to identify and treat different ocular pathologies including posterior and anterior segment, and excellent skills as cataract and glaucoma surgeon. He got a degree as a Physician surgeon and specialized in Ophthalmologist surgery from El Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia.
He has participated in different courses and seminars during the last 12 years, permanently updating his formation. His research trials include Phacoemulsification in vitrectomized eyes and Ultrasound in patients who undergone cataract surgery complicated in 2000, Queratopatia cristaliniana en Fundonal in 2001, and Ultrasound: intraocular foreign bodies in 2002. International member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. International member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
