Z-LASIK

What is Z-Lasik?

LASIK, which stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, is corrective surgery in which a thin layer of the cornea is lifted and moved aside to allow a laser to reshape the cornea. Custom Z-LASIK is an innovative, blade-free procedure that uses only high tech computer measurements and lasers to perform vision correction of many common eye problems in adults.

Step 1 – Flap Creation:

100% Blade-Free With Femto Ldv Laser

During the first step the femtosecond laser creates an ultra thin flap in the cornea by applying millions of tiny laser spots. Thanks to the laser, the need for a blade is eliminated – the whole procedure is completely blade-free! The flap, remaining hinged on one side, is then gently folded back and the eye is ready for step two.

Step 2 – Vision Correction:

Now another laser performs the actual correction of the corneal tissue directly under the flap. It only takes a few seconds – then the flap is put back in place, where it adheres naturally.
